Re: PLEASE HELP! Renault Parts Policy???
The problem will be with the franchises return policy and not Renault UK's as truth be told they don't actually own the dealership:
1 - Has the item been removed from the plastic bag?
2 - Did you order the specific part via a number or did they obtain the details and decide which part was required based on your registration?
3 - Was it a "Special" or "VOR" order?
If the part was ordered by them and it has been incorrectly ordered/supplied they must take it back in to stock for either full refund or full credit. The same goes for the part if it is still in its original, unbrocken packaging - If you've had the part for weeks that was a "special" order then they can argue a different point and they may make a slight deduction for parts ordered incorrectly if YOU specified that specific part but generally its not a problem returning a part for credit and I don't think this will apply.
Ask to speak to the parts manager and speak to him/her about it... don't scream, shout, blow things out of proportion or over react. Just state the facts from your perspective and tell him what you want to do and the story should end happily.
Cheers mate, well the package is brand new and sealed i said to him in the shop i dont want the part as i know its wrong!
He said it was a high speed order (whatever that means) and theres nothing he can do other than put it on the system that if someone needs one locally in the future he will contact me an buy mine from me!
all seemed a bit farsical really just wanted to know if anyone else had an issue similar cheers for the reply mate
