Re: Vel Satis 3.5 Initiale Newbie

Dear all - nice to have the feedback

Pat.W - Firstly, I must be clear that the dealer (not franchise) I visited were perfectly polite etc etc and if I had a clio 1.2 or a megane dci I am confident no problems or frustrations would arise. However, I specifically asked if they knew the Vel Satis model (ans. Yes) and again specifically told them it was the 3.5 petrol/essence model (three times I called to confirm this). Anyway, I will put it down to experience, at least she has clean oil and a good check over so that's good.

hu88ertvelsat - thanks, I think my Vel will be a chap by name (to be decided)....less temperamental I hope

Saabguy - i am in Cranleigh near Guildford so if you know of a good indy please do tell

Still need to look at that driveline shunt from take off in 'D'. Does not happen in reverse and seems to fade out when in tiptronic mode. Torque converter? Looking at the forums it looks like it's experienced by espace 3.5 owners and some Murano owners over at nissan - but not on the 350z it seems.....

Still, raining now so off to the shops to see how well the traction thingy works

Currently in Wile7's garage:
