ABS is a pain in the backside to resolve:

Could be any number of thing but most common:

Faulty sensors, can be cleaned also check the connection in wheel arch
Bad wiring or faulty earth: Wires have to be traced
Faulty abs unit

My local dealership was cheaper than the independants, they charged half an hour so it was about £37 to read the code.

The readout gave a faulty sensor but in the end it was a faulty unit at a total cost of £500 for parts and labour at a local non renault garage to fix.

A lot of people do find the problem is resolved just by checking the sensors, conectors and giving them a clean.
Currently in sleepdeprived's garage:
megane 1.6 16v
