Re: Renault Scenic 1 - Boot Lock Button Fix
I can't belive Renault don't know that there is a problem with the boot lock plunger falling out!
As already mentioned there is some one on
who sells a repair kit with a new button. I have used one on my 2001 Scenic at £19 it was a dam sight cheaper than buying a full boot lock mehanism. The quality wasn't particulary good and only lasted 3 or 4 months before the replacement button broke.
I have now replaced the complete boot lock mechanism from an earlier 1998 Scenic which externaly looks the same as the later Scenic however it looks to me as the earlier locks are much stronger as they appear to be a far more robust internal design.
