Renault Megane 1 - Noise After Lower Joint Replacement*FIXED*
Replaced Lower Ball Joint today on nearside. All went well, when i took the car for a test drive strange high pitched whining noise like something was rubbing occured when turning left (noticable in sharper, higher speed corners.
After taking the wheel off and having a look it seems as though the ABS sensor could be rubbing on the ABS ring as about a 3rd of the ring (on the side closest to the wheel) has been rubbed clean and appears to have been rubbed down very slightly.
Any ideas as to to why this could be?
Replacement ball joints were not Renault.
The driveshaft nut wasnt touched, only thing which was split was the lower ball joint.
Thanks very much for your help, I am personally very confused on this issue. Especcially as noise occurs when load is taken off the nearside wheel (turnung left).
Any help much appreciated!!
