Re: Is the Laguna III a good car? are there any problems, should I get one?

We have had ours now for 5 months and are highly delighted with it. Really quiet and comfy on the motorways, with enough grunt and agility to be enjoyable to drive on the more minor roads. It isnt a sports car, but if we wanted that we wouldn't buy a family estate car!
We also had a Lag II for 4yrs and were one of the lucky ones as that was a good reliable car for us with only one fault, under warranty, a window regulator.

The Lag III may not be the prettiest car but for value for money/comfort/economy and number of gadgets you can't go far wrong.
All modern cars are full of electronics these days so are all a nightmare to repair.

Read user reviews of the Laguna III as well as car mag reviews, as user reviews are often quite different to journalists. The journals rave about the Mondeo - but just look at their forums to see the number of problems thay have.
Apparently the warranty dept at Renault for the Lag III is a quiet place to be. Some are almost 3 yrs old now so it will be interesting to see how they are standing up.
Renault are obviosuly fairly confident with the Lag III by giving it a 100,000 mile warranty.
