I take it you are referring to the clutch master cylinder rather than the slave cylinder which is inside the gearbox.
On some models the clutch pedal has a history of sticking down and I believe Renault fitted an additional spring to compensate.
Looks like you in for a new pedal box and master cylinder.
Regarding excessive brake disc (rotors) wear I have found modern cars they tend to wear much quicker. Some mechanics think the type of non-asbestos brake pad is to blame - personally I think its down to cheap materials.
