If they had to replace the rear pads at the same time then this might expalin why the calipers are now rubbing the wheel weights,although from memory there should be quite a big gap between the caliper and the wheel on the back of a Scenic.

Are the discs worn at all?.Again,if they have fitted new pads to discs with a wear ridge on them then this would explain the cr4p brake pedal.

Theres no excuse for any of this though,the repair hasn't been done properly and they clearly didn't road test the car properly to check the brakes were OK.
