Re: Motrio Engine Oil - good or bad compared to Castrol

Calm down Mick, there's nothing like a bit of healthy debate on a subject. I come from a forum where oil has been done to death because of sludge issues and there has been extensive research done on oil sheer and breakdown and all oils are not created the same. Just have a look at the link provided to see what i mean about certain oils not performing as well as others. Yes they do meet ACEA specs out of the bottle but its for how long they continue to meet the specs before breaking down that is the issue.

The problem with modern oils is people think they can go for an eternity before changing them and we both know this is untrue. If you are going to run 2 years between changes then a better quality oil will pay dividends (but not neccesarily stop damage), if you change oil every 6 months then the oil you use is pretty much irrevelant so long as it meets specs.
