Re: Clio petrol cover...?? HELP!!
Unfortunately, I was told that there is no emergency release for the Clio.
I had to call out the RAC in the end as I couldn't fill up my car and eventually ran out of petrol which was pretty embarassing
He couldnt find anything to release the cap so had to take me to Renault. I had to pay £40 for them to have a look at the car then a further £90+ vat to replace the "solenoid". I told them to forget it and leave it disconnected!
At least now I can fill up.
I am now going to replace it with one from Halfords that doesnt rely on electrics!
It all happened just outside of the warranty and something like this just shouldn't be allowed to happen.
Sorry this doesnt help you
Have you been able to get the fuel cover open.
How do you intend to overcome the cover problem after fitting a cap from good old Halfrauds?
