Update to my previous post...
I love my Vel Satis but I knew it had to happen. There is a very bad
leak in the engine compartment, no
pressure warning lights or anything... yet. But it has to be sorted. I am gutted but that's the risk I took.
I had left it with the mechanic to change the t-belt while I search on the net for the above mentioned.
I would like to have a complete engine rebuild as I do intend to hang on to it, no-one else is mad enough to by it here.
It'll be with the mechanic for at least two weeks.
To give you an example there is one around the corner,
3.0 dci initial 11,000GBP, 110k miles secondhand dealer, the neck on them! Think Minder but multiply that by a factor a 50 for dodginess when you it comes to secondhand car dealers in Italy. That's why main dealers get away with not negotiating. Internet is very new here for the everyday guy.
