Re: engine bay washing

Clean the ECU , fusebox(es), alternator by hand and spray a light coat of WD40 especially at cable/plug connections. Cover with plastic bags and tape or use tiewraps to seal from overspray.

Use 'Gunk,' brushing everywhere you can reach, leave to soak in for a little while, then hose off, or better still, use a pressure washer. Leave to drain off for 1/4 hour, then remove plastic bags and run engine enough to dry off without getting too hot. Switch off and 'polish off' with dry rag.
If you're happy with the result, you can then use an engine lacquer to shine things up.

You could post some 'before and after' pics to show the forum your results??

Political correctness defined:
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end
