Get your Dad to lock the car without setting the sensors. If he doesn't get any problems then you know it is the sensors at fault.

To lock the car and set alarm without sensors:
open door, insert card, remove card,re-insert card, remove card, shut door and lock as normal. You should hear 3 beeps to indicate alarm is set without sensors. Only problemis you have to do this each time.

If he still gets problems you know it isn't the ultrasonic sensors and more than likely one of the door/boot /bonnet contact sensors that is faulty.
