Re: BBC Watchdog report :: Faulty Renault Clio bonnet catches

Just been watching BBC Watchdog tonight (30th Sept), and the irony - another "vehicle defect" and VOSA are having their head in the sands (again!) - ring any bells?

This time the Vauxhall Arriva has a sporadic electrical fault which makes the Power Steering fail - resulting in a VERY stiff steering wheel.

VOSA said that they are aware of a number of complaints from owners, but as the car is driveable, there is no merit for a safety defect or a recall notice to the manufacturer... There is a twist, according to the MOT guidelines, the car could fail if there is a steering problem, like this, and as such would be considered road unworthy.

So VOSA are contradicting themselves - luvly, hey!

Gosh, how can we get this organisation scrapped - talk about Government bodies who are a waste of money and energy!!
