Engine oil is a well known to cause serious damage to most rubber and plastics both natural and synthetic so you can imagine what it could do if it gets anywhere near brake flexi-hoses and electrical insulation.

Thos also includes any underseal applied during manufacture so by applying this stuff you may actually be destroying any good rust inhibitor already applied. - seems kind of counter-productive to me apart from being dangerous.
