Yes I have used Old engine
for some of the chassis components, but being very careful not to get this on rubber or plastic, I just rubbed it in with a cloth.
So that explains the price difference between the Tetrosyl Tetra Schutz 1 litre for £3.60 and the Waxoyl £6 1 litre.
I have done some research and the Tetrosyl, although sounds good is made from bitumen, which how you say, could peel away and trap water underneath it.
I'm tempted to leave until rust does occur, then sand and apply the normal Hammerrite Black 5 year paint you apply to garden metal gates?
