Re: Renault Laguna II - Phase 1 - Engines - Average MPG from 1.9 DCi Engine
i bought my 53 reg 1.9 dic a couple days ago and was expected 50mph combined. the 'most' mpg i can get is at about 45mph in 5th where i can acheive 35ish mph. on the motorway i'm getting less than 27. and even worse on smaller roads. it does need a service. its last one was at 86K and its now done 106K (exactly 18k). Will that help?? and what will they change? i presume the cambelt was done at 72k (last service or the one before).. so is it just an
filter and air filter to go in??.. and will that make the mpg any better? I can probably change those parts myself assuming a diesel engine is no mre complicated to service than a petrol? Do they have spark plugs?
