Hello and welcome
Very difficult to value cars without seeing them and having no access to current 'book' prices! However, there are some sites which give free valuations and others which you pay a small sum towards! Parkers, WhatCar? to name a couple.
I have found that there can be a significant difference in the valuations quoted between sites though!
My best advice would be to see what others are going for online, places such as Auto Trader,
Oh, and never look a gift horse in the mouth, pride will not always get you everywhere
Perhaps make her happy by offering a decent amount but also save yourself some pennies in the meantime. Or mayvbe even discuss with her giving the money you would pay to her for the car to a worthwhile charity....just an idea
