Re: What to buy?

I have to agree with Scatz, My experiences tell me the Mk1 was a far better car than it's successor. Far better build quality and very comfortable.
The Mk2 diesel or petrol still had a whole host of problems - window regulators went south, rear axle had to be re bushed, 10p plastic clip on the sunroof broke - Renault wanted close on 500 to replace the whole assembly, headlight bulbs kept popping were just a few that spring to mind.
It finished me with buying another Renault so I bought a Leon, what a bl**dy good move that was, it's just brilliant in whatever you want it to do.

Be careful out there....

Political correctness defined:
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end
