Exclamation Aussie Needs Help - 2003 RENAULT LAGUNA

Hello Folks,
Im Located in Australia and am new here, having stumbled on this site whilst trying to find some info.
Hopefully as an enthusiast group, someone can answer or share some "Qualified" opinions to my questions.
I would like to purchase an 02 - 03 Laguna for the wife. I looked at a mint V6 auto hatch but then found in OZ we have alot of automatic trans failures so was put off....Damn.
I have now found an 03 Laguna 2.2dci to purchase for the wife in 6 speed manual, eliminating the autos faults. WOW. see here
Lots of car for the $$$. Problem is in OZ, we didnt receive the 2.2dci until 2006, therefore this car is a private import from the UK having been complied in OZ on 01-2010. My concern is that alot of posts on the net refer to 2.2dci engine/ turbo failure etc, but i am unsure if this generation of cars is affected. I will have no support from renault as its not a legit Oz model.
Any help advice on this topic is appreciated. Books are stamped, but i cant find previous owner details.
The car drives nice & tight and has no accident repair etc.
Please share your thoughts, and thanks in advance. johnny
