Scenic ABS & brake pedal

We own a 2001 Scenic 1.6 Alize Sport.

When pulling up to a junction in the dry at crawling speed and light brake pressure the ABS kicks in, you can feel it on the brak padal and hear the vibration.

It's been recently MOT'd and passed the brake test so I'm assuming the brakes are generally OK, any ideas as to the cause....I'm assumng its an ABS sensor at fault maybe ?

Currently in spaceace's garage:
'82 Golf GTi 1600 (and a 2001 Scenic for 'er in doors)
