Re: Removing '99 Clio II Dash to get at backlights
Finally I have succeeded! What joy!
1 There are three screws on the dash in a small "trench" at the front near the windscreen.
2 two screws on either side of dash one above fusebox-(which found by opening passenger door & looking at side of dash) & other at same position on drivers side.
3 Two screws to release steering wheel shroud.Located on underside of steering column-closest to wheel itself.
Gently lift off shroud.
4 Remove door trim from 'A' columns-these are the column on either side of the windscreen going to the roof(I didnt know until I looked it up!)
Insert screwdriver behind trim inside top of column & lever trim to free from clip with which it is attached to column.
Pull trim vertically to remove entirely.
5 Remove 2 screws now visible on either side of instrument panel (after removing steering column shroud)
TA DA-slide dash off!!
Clock/Radio dislpay now accessible -TWO bulbs.
hopefully pix to come too.
All good with the description by PaddyMac but you forgot to mention the five or so screws underneath the plastic trims - otherwise no TA DA!!
