Never Know What to do in the Winter
I work from home so only use my car once or twice a week (limited to long trips) anyway, but in the winter I just don't know what to do.
I bought a luxury car cover which is breathable, etc, but to use the cover, I'd have to not drive the car (to not get it covered in salt and grit), or to wash the car at home before I put the cover back on each time. So forget the cover?
My MoT in May required a new rear caliper as it was bleeding, which may have been due to the car being sat there during the winter?
Last winter, the car was sat in the drive for 3 weeks at one stage, but it started fine first thing, so the battery etc must have been good. This year the engine has seemed a bit "odd" recently, so perhaps I should brave the snow and take it for a 20-30 minutes drive once a week in this cold weather?
Or should I just do what I did last year and only use it when I have to, or when the roads have thawed out?
Anyone else in the same boat, not driving one of their cars that often, and not having a garage or car port?
