Not familiar with the dci engine.
One question, does it have a harmonic balancer pulley, it likely does.
These things are usually 2 metal rings separated by a rubber bush. The bushing sometimes fails and allows the 2 sections to spin somewhat independently. If you are able to see and reach the pulley, put a paint mark from the centre bolt to the outside of the pulley.
Run the car for a few miles then re-check the line. If it's broken into sections, the pulley will need replacing. Other than that, check any other pulleys driven off the belt.
Is there also an idler pulley that just holds the belt in place?
