Just a thought,but check the Inertia Fuel Cut Off Switch.It's located near the nearside front strut top under the bonnet and is designed to cut the fuel supply in the event of an accident.Press the top of it down and see if that makes any difference,if not then check the wiring to it for good connection.
If all seems fine with that,then the fuel pump relay is located under the bonnet in a box with 6 relays in it.Number 1 is the fuel pump relay,but my sources don't tell me the exact location of the box.....!.Sorry...
