There are 2 products I would recommend you consider.
The cheaper option is Trim Tape (a kind of rubberised, double-sided sticky foam) which is easy to use for what I'd consider 'lightweight' applications.
The more durable option is using a PU adhesive called Tiger Seal (available in black/white/clear), and is applied using a mastic gun - it can be a bit messy, so apply sparingly - but it will outlive the car. It is normally used to attach spoilers & bodykits, and I've used it to re-attach mirrors to car doors - so can vouch for both products.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
