Re: Trunk cover can not keep open

Maybe it will be useful to someone.

I bought two gas struts for scenic 2000 in a shop. It is simple and easy to replace the old ones. I did it by myself right away in front of the shop, only several minutes needed.

The two ends of the strut have same structure, only one end size is smaller. Each end has a clip on it, and they can be directly accessed when the tailgate is open. Using a small flat screwdriver to lift the clip a little, then you can disconnect the strut from the ball-joint. I used my body to hold the tailgate open (of course it would be better if someone can help you to hold the tailgate open).

Installing the new strut only need you push it on, that is all.
