1) Sliding door not opening. Does the lock botton not move at all? Mechanism could be stuck or excess dirt/ poor contact on the 3 contact pins at forward end of door. Pull botton up. As regards filler cap & door interlock, there is no small connector at all between magnet switch and its harness, see below photo.

Magnet switch closes when tank lid is removed and a relay (operated by the magnet switch) locks door so door cannot be opened from inside. In case of faulty magnet switch, nothing need be done if switch has failed in open position. If failed in close position just cut the wires. Interlock won't work any more but does not matter unless you carry passengers.

2) Head light combination switch is expensive at least 100 pounds. Perhaps it is possible to open switch and clean the contacts.

3) Starter noise. Most likely the Bendix drive needing cleaning and some lube or worn bearing. You have to remove starter and open it out.

Kangoo with 1.9 diesel engine is more reliable. The 1.5 DCi is only trouble.
