Hi there Monkey1892.

I'd normally agree about the shade variation which can exist in many paint codes - however, I've checked the Du Pont website, and it doesn't list any other possibilities other than the standard formulation.

According to them - there is only one 'colour' for J41.

I appreciate that fading -in, and doing blow-ins can help to disguise 'fresh' repairs, but I'm a bit fearful that in this instance the car may end up more of a patchwork quilt than it already is, and the OP may well end up performing a full respray.
