Re: Odd problem with Renault Megane
Thought I'd post a quick update on this for all...
Took it to a local specialist who, very swiftly, diagnosed the problem as the engine coolant temperature sensor. They stated at, during testing, the sensor was reading a temp of -14°, and so was dumping more fuel into the engine to 'warm it up' because it thought it was cold. Obviously, this meant that the engine was flooding, hence the stalling/unable to restart for a few minutes.
They changed the sensor, reset the
and approx £110 later my car is back, good as new! The part itself cost £19.05 and is an official Renault part.
