Hi All.

Thought I'd post a quick update on this for all...

Took it to a local specialist who, very swiftly, diagnosed the problem as the engine coolant temperature sensor. They stated at, during testing, the sensor was reading a temp of -14, and so was dumping more fuel into the engine to 'warm it up' because it thought it was cold. Obviously, this meant that the engine was flooding, hence the stalling/unable to restart for a few minutes.

They changed the sensor, reset the ECU and approx 110 later my car is back, good as new! The part itself cost 19.05 and is an official Renault part.

I would like to thank all those who helped me in this thread - seems you guys were right on the money wrt the problem.
