Wiper arm joint - ball bearing cradle gone

I have a 2005 Scenic. The joint between the two arms on the main front wiper has popped open, after the little wire cradle with ball bearings in it broke up. I found the remnants of it, and a washer, but it was badly rusted and broken up. As a result the joint is separated and the wipers no longer work.

Is this fitting for the joint the kind of thing that I could buy and install myself, or is it best to see someone about it?

thanks alot
