Re: Renault Laguna II - Rear brake pad replacement

Hi everyone,

I have a 2002 Laguna II 1.8 petrol (phase 1), and I'm having the rear brake pads replaced soon.
A friend is doing the job for me (he works as a mechanic at the local Renault main dealer so has all the right tools and knowledge) but I said I would get the pads, as they would be cheaper than dealer parts.

So here's my question : is there more than one pad type/shape available, possibly for different brake system manufacturers?

I looked on ebay and found two different type with slightly different shapes, but didn't know which to get.
GSF Car Parts seem to list 2 types.

However Halfords listed just one part (for 1.8 petrol Lagunas made after 2001) and I know I can get a refund if it's wrong, so I ended up getting them from there. The part number is HBP455

Did I get the right parts?

Thanks for the advice
