Re: Renault Scenic II - Access the resistor pack in 5 mins.

On my 2003 Scenic 2 whilst pulling on the fan wires I pulled a small 2 pin connector out of something at the front middle of the dashboard just above the fan duct. It is on thin wires and has a connector labelled Ford. The wires join the same loom as the resistor wires. Could it be to a temperature sensor? Some cars have a dashboard mounted sensor to detect the heat from the sun as part of the air conditioning controls. I notice there is a small black button in middle of dashboard. Could this be it? How do I access it to get the wire back on?

The Haynes manual circuit diagram does not appear to have any such sensor and I can't find these wires in the diagram.
