I would recommend getting the paint matched via a set of paint chips, as the car is some 26 years old, some discolouration/oxidation will have occured in this period, so it may not be that the paint you have bought is 'wrong', but more likely it would be made to the standard factory-fresh spec back in 1985.

Paint chips help eliminate mismatches of shade.
