I think people are trying to work out if others have some secret to amazing MPG?
If an old model of a car, and a new model of a car share the exact same engine, chances are the older one will be a bit better on fuel.
Reason being that newer cars tend to have more things crammed into them.. increasing weight, and burning more fuel.
Exactly what I have been told when I queried my poor MPG. I have the F4R 2.0 engine in my current car, same as was in my old car. Old car gave me 36mpg regularly, this one is around 28mpg. Even though it might be heavier, not looked into that though, I would expect the improved efficiency of all that electrickery to at least match my old cars mpg.
