You've probably hit the nail on the head there. With the mix of price increases and the bad weather people are probably just paying a bit more attention to the cost of running their car than they previously did.
Having had the Scenic for a few years now, I know what the MPG figures tend to be at different times of the year. I noticed that it drops off a bit during the winter but recovers during the summer. I did have the garage take a look a while back but they reported no issues.
I have also noticed the MPG figure improves after an oil change.


I think I have CDO. It's like OCD, but with ALL THE LETTERS IN THE RIGHT ORDER
