You can ask them to use a genuine Renault cambelt kit and to provide you with the receipt (and removed parts) as a guarantee that the belts & water pump's been changed, plus it should help pursue a parts warranty claim if there is a failure.
And that is sometimes a hard fact to face - parts do sometimes fail, sometimes because they have been fitted incorrectly; other times through driver abuse & negligence; sometimes through a related component failing - or quite simply, yours was the one in a million which had a manufacturing defect.
I would always suggest getting the best warranty to cover your car - as the odds may be small, but it only has to occur once, to be a major problem.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
