The part numbers are entirely different and fitting new shockers won't make any difference to the ride height. Unless you fit shockers with spring assisters.

The Lag I and Lag II have different rear suspension systems - most of the Lag I models having torsion bars and the Lag II springs.

The problem with the torsion bar system it that it weakens over time but can be adjusted to give a higher ride but doing so can badly affect handling.
