Re: Clio Front Brakes and Reluctor Ring Replacement

Caution for fitting the reluctor ring. The ring I had fitted had a deeper chamfer than the original on one side of the inside edge and was square on the other. The hub that it fits on has a series of shoulders. Offered the new ring to the hub chamfer side first and being deeper clears the shoulders so that the edge of the ring buts up against the hub. After re-assembly then on inspection the ring sat a few mm (further in) vertically out of line with the reluctor sensor. The profile of original ring was such that it couldn't pass the shoulders and stands off slightly, making sensor in line with ring.

Saying that the car has now run for a week without any problem or warning lights so it seems like a certain amount of misalignment is tolerated.
