You'll have to run new wiring to the speakers from the amp for it to work properly. It's not just a case of 'plug-n-go'

The 'cross-over box' is normally just a capacitor soldered onto the back of the tweeter, but you can buy proper ones that you can adjust the point of cut off.

If you are going to 'amp' the sound, make sure that the amp doesn't over power the speakers. You need to look at the rear of the speakers and see what the power rating is, and buy an amp that will give out power less than the speaker rating. You also need to see if the rating on the speakers is peak power of RMS.

RMS are the numbers you need to look at, as all the best install guru's go off this number.
