Re: Renault - Clio - Starting Problems - A solution???

Hi first post on the forum so my apoligies if I'm being a total noob

I'm having problems with the wife's 1.2 16v 03 plate clio, the bloody thing just wont start!!

I've changed the battery, plugs and leads but no joy, I've checked the lead into the starter motor which is fine along with checking all the fuses but still no luck. The car turns over for a bit before cutting out but just wont catch and start.

Yesterday when trying everything again i noticed that the engine immobiliser light doesn't go off after 3 seconds like it used to but instead stays on and i'm assuming that this is the problem?? Is there anyway of disabling the immobiliser to get the car running again?

I've tried using the spare key that came with the car when new but that doesn't help

Any idea's?
