Re: Renault Scenic - how to connect the display to update list
Can anyone help me to connect original fabric radio with display in Renault Scenic II, 2003 model. It had a tuner list and I want to put update list.
The problem with using an Update List HU (head unit) in a car that's wired for Tuner List, is that the external display will not work,
and thus, you have no means of actually seeing your code as you're entering it, perhaps no means of even entering it.
This is because Tuner List and Update List use entirely different protocols for transmitting and receiving data through the
yellow connector that goes to the remote stalk and the display.
If you want AUX input, you're better off getting an aftermarket head unit.
The good ones have got better sound quality, and more interesting features.
