Totally agree about the box.

The 86 is really a round town / commute car. It's ok for short motorway trips.

Having said that my 60 mile round trip to work returns an average of 75-80mpg when driven carefully (mixed rural / motorway round Manchester)

The best average tank full I got was 86mpg.

Don't get me wrong the 86 is a very good car and feels quick but above 60 the mpg does drop.
