Re: LAGUNA III 2.0T 205 and dCi 150

Merc seems interesting but insurance group 17
which would lead me to purchase of Volvo S60R
or Legacy GT spec B.
Still might test a few to is if C-class would do.

From other hand having urban at 24mpg does't
creep me out that much- something has gone wrong
with my Lag ( coils ?coolant sensor?) and I barely and
rarely go over 24mpg. Only mentioned that, because
Renault says Laguna GT205 does urban 24mpg and is
insurance group 15.

Price depreciation due to type of engine is a good point.

Have to be honest. I've never liked diesel engines much. Because diesel engines are heavy and that
affects steering and acceleration. And that noise.
I most likely will go for diesel, but will never get
over that sound.

In last few year I owned one Automatic
-1999 Vauxhall Omega 2.5 V6 Elite
And driven few others
-1998 Vectra 2.0
-2001 Vectra 1.8
-2005 CLK 320
-Smart For2
-Peugeot 607 3.0 V6

Really liked my Omega but to dear to run, then rest
of them, well. Merc was cool because of power, Pug was cool , because it belong to my boss
so I trashed it whenever could and Vectra's- I never
came across, so stubborn piece of s**t.

We'll see with every day diesel gains more and more
points it will never be angry roaring petrol, but at
least more efficient. If it comes to gearbox- unless
I won't buy luxury saloon I'll stay with manual.
