Mixing cars during driving lessons is never a good idea - in fact doing so may actually mean more lessons are more expense.

During the test the driver has to be able to demonstrate how to use a handbrake correctly. Fully auto-handbrake cars are not permitted duirng a test unless the auto-system can be over-rid or switched off.

There are a range of vehicles not permitted during the test but I'm sure any decent driving school or instructor should be able to advise you or try contacting your local test centre.
