That is truly interesting, because I do 950miles (when I go to my holiday hideout) in my 1.8 manual on exactly 2 full tanks
So 2*60l=120l/4.5=26.6gallons
if I'm right.
Not impressive, but if You take its mainly urban and little bit of motorway driving, plus lower cost of petrol.
It's not that bad.
Haven't got much experience with diesel tho.
Still would assume Auto is less economical than manual.

Hmmmmm might just go for Saab 9-3 or Mazda3
