Re: Xenon adjustment for driving in Europe
In the end I had to pay up and change the xenon headlights on my 2002 Laguna - about 400 Euros for the two. Only way I could pass the french MOT and re-register in France.
As an aside, after gearbox number three went kaputt, I sold up to a French guy who took the car to Mauritius (french speaking but drive on the left over there) and put money towards a Skoda Roomster - which has a neat little lever for changing the direction of the headlights between L and R sided roads - problem solved!
If you can, try and just keep it registered as a UK car - Axa insurance in France will insure you.
