Re: Are Laguna's that bad???

personally, i'd be looking for a car that has been serviced by the owner, (with proof) every year, regardless of mileage, or at half the Renault service intervals, whichever comes sooner. that is what i do, and i know my car is looked after a damn sight better than if i had it serviced by Renault.

as for are Renault Laguna's really that bad, and specifically the 1.9dci, they have a reputation for being unreliable for 2 reasons.

1 Renault service intervals are far too long.
2 people thrash the nuts off them from cold and dont let the turbo cool at idle before switching off.

look after it and it will last forever.
