Cool Laguna estate 2.2 DCi any good ?

Hi Folks,

i have been looking around as i am gonna change the car that pulls the shed, oops i mean caravan. (got that from an earlier thread on here)

Basically is the Laguna 2.2 DCi any Good ?????

On paper the privilege looks great lots of extras for the money, but:
I have a friend who has a 1.9 dci dynamique on a 52 plate and has had lots of trouble ! drive shaft X 2 (he paid for 1) gearbox X1 (renault paid for), two new alloys (he paid) the list goes on. All because of a shake at 50 mph. now sorted he thinks. i have asked someone on a caravan site and he had a 1.9 DCi which he liked, but had just spent 200 on a rear wiper motor !
also someone else who's door i knocked and said he was averaging 34 to the gallon over 1000 miles, but liked the power.

your thoughts please

its this or a mondeo or MG ZT-T or C5 or something

Thanks in advance for your comments
