Re: Renault Megane 1 - Intermittant Starting Problems
Just so you all know the
/ Crankshaft Sensor can be purchased from
I recommend you phone your local Renault dealers parts department and ask for the part number, they will ask for you registration and tell.
They told me it would cost £31.30 so I opted for
, and since Iv already located the sensor and cleaned it I am confident that I can replace it.
I have a 2003 Renault Megane 1.6 16v Dynamique which doesn't start when I press the ignition button. Normally I would either have to rev the engine up to 3k revs for 5 seconds or start the engine and let it cut out 3 times before it would start with no assistance.
Hopefully will received the part in the next few days. Ill let you know when Iv replaced it and whether I was successful.
Thanks again for everyone's help on this forum.
